I began my career in public practice accounting firms over 25 years ago and have a wide breadth of experience. My career has been very broad, having been one of the owners of a large mid-tier accounting firm, had leadership roles in Big 4 firms before finally establishing Caratti Accountants & Business Advisors in 2016.
I relish in the technical challenge of tax and business problems, using the research and problem solving skills and resources available from my university roles and completion of my PhD on accounting firms to find the most appropriate solution with a highly commercial and practical focus.
In addition, I have always believed in the importance of “giving back” and have held numerous NFP roles and continues to support the “up and coming” talent in our industry through my continued work through the university sector and the Chartered Accountant’s programme.
I am passionate about building authentic and long-term relationships with clients as they experience their business and financial life journey’s. I also relish the technical challenges of finding a solution to an accounting or tax problem for clients. Early on in my career, I identified the importance and value of providing a holistic and personalised service to my clients, one based on much more than just tax, accounting and numbers but with a focus on people and relationships. Accounting is after all, the true language of business and I see my role as the translator for small and medium sized business.
